Every neighborhood deserves a local pub, and in Tulsa, that place is James E. McNellie's Public House, affectionately known as McNellie's by the locals. Taking inspiration from the charming Irish pubs that our founder Elliot Nelson fell in love with during his time abroad, McNellie's opened its doors on St. Patrick's Day in 2004 and swiftly established itself as the heart of the downtown Tulsa community.

A great pub thrives with neighboring establishments, bringing people together. Recognizing this, McNellie's Group launched the highly popular Tex-Mex sensation El Guapo's just across the street in 2007. The Blue Dome district underwent a remarkable transformation over the subsequent years with the addition of Dilly Deli (now known as Dilly Diner since its rebranding in 2015), the delicious Asian-fusion flavors of Yokozuna, Fassler Hall (a year-round homage to Oktoberfest), and the retro-inspired Dust Bowl Lanes & Lounge.

A few blocks north, the Tulsa Arts District was also experiencing a revitalization. The Tavern, an elegant interpretation of a modern pub, serves as a perfect anchor for the thriving cultural scene. And if you're in-the-know, we'll share a secret with you: our hidden speakeasy steakhouse, The Bull in The Alley, can be your go-to spot for an intimate dining experience. Just a short walk away, Elgin Park Brewery introduced downtown Tulsa to its very own house-brewed beers, delectable New Haven-style pizza, and an array of sporting events on more than 50 screens when they opened their doors in 2016.

While our roots are firmly planted in downtown Tulsa, our neighborhood has expanded beyond these boundaries. We have brought our signature hospitality to South Tulsa as well as the OKC area. By 2018, Dust Bowl and Fassler had become beloved local watering holes in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Today, McNellie's Group proudly owns and operates over 20 locations throughout Oklahoma and Arkansas, with a continued commitment to expanding into neighborhoods that crave an authentic dining and entertainment experience.
